An outstanding NYC-based foundation committed to strengthening/building the fields of Jewish education, synagogue life and cutting-edge Jewish non-profits, is seeking a skilled, energetic, recent college graduate, to serve as a Program Associate. This is a great job opportunity for a motivated, resourceful, highly focused individual interested in not-for-profit or foundation work. We are looking for someone who is hands-on and creative, and who likes working in a fast-track environment.

As a Program Associate you will report to, and support, the organization’s program officers in connection with program implementation and oversight. You will be a great part of a team of professionals working collaboratively in a dynamic workspace and environment to actualize our core vision and mission. The foundation is very entrepreneurial and has a great work ethic.

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities include providing logistical, administrative, and research support, preparation of documents, data entry, grants management system maintenance, coordination of webinars and conferences, communicating with program participants and grantees, maintaining program timelines and calendars. You will need to multi-task in response to the various exciting and creative work to be done.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Proficiency in the use of technology (including Google Docs, Adobe and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)) and social media is vital. CRM experience and graphic design skills are a plus. Knowledge of the Jewish institutional landscape is preferred.

-Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills, charts), Word (including mail merge)

-Google Docs (Organizing, Setting up interlocked google sheets if needed

-Grants management software

-Provide live support on webinars usually through Zoom

-Basic design skills

-Basic web development skills

-General computer skills

Technical skills


Interpersonal skills

-Working independently but under supervision

-Interface with program directors and participants

-Help consultants with communication and reimbursement issues

- Event management experience
