The Development Operations Associate (DOA) will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies and plans to ensure the daily operations of the Development Department run smoothly and efficiently and will supervise the administration of all community campaign, direct mail and telemarketing efforts. S/He will work with the database and finance staff to generate weekly and monthly campaign reports and will establish and regularly monitor key measurements to foster a results-oriented culture for the team. The DOA will also oversee the Community Campaign strategy and carry a portfolio of community campaign prospects. The DOA is a member of the development team and is expected to contribute to the overall success of Federation’s financial resource development strategy.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage campaign analysis, reporting, prospecting, and forecasting in collaboration with appropriate campaign and finance staff to benchmark, measure campaign progress, and identify important trends in our donor base.
Analyze and evaluate campaign-related data to identify opportunities for campaign strategy and greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Conduct research and donor prospecting to identify new gifts and opportunities to increase existing donor gifts.
Serve as liaison to Database Manager and Donor Services Associate
Support SDP’s efforts to develop and implement a “Moves Management” system.
Work with donor services to research and respond to donor inquiries and update constituent records
Support entry of all donor interactions with appropriate DRMs, team members and Ambassadors
Effectively utilize Federation’s donor management system to manage, track, and report on all aspects of donor relationships.
Work with key staff partners to develop a strategy for and execute direct mail, telemarketing and phone-a-thons using data analytics to A/B test, learn and take new/corrective action.
Develop and execute a creative and impactful high-tech, low-touch strategy that will retain and grow the donor base of the Community Campaign.
Work with the Donor Engagement Associate to provide information and reports for campaign volunteers.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS
3-5 years of experience with managing campaign operations or similar environment
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff
Proficiency with fundraising databases and reporting is essential, knowledge of Blackbaud CRM a plus.

Strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate campaign results and identify trends.

Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency with MS Office Applications – Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
Knowledge of the Jewish community a plus.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
