Our Religious School provides a supportive environment where students of all abilities can explore their faith, develop important life skills, and engage with their community.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Paraprofessional to support a 16-year-old student with disabilities in our Religious School program. The paraprofessional will work closely with the student to complete functional and vocational tasks aimed at enhancing their overall well-being and fostering their integration into the Temple Sholom community. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Accompany the student on community outings to purchase supplies and food items, fostering independence and social interaction.
• Support the student in vocational tasks, such as setting up for events and activities at Temple Sholom and assisting with office work as needed.
• Provide one-on-one assistance and guidance to ensure the student's successful participation in selected  Religious School activities and events.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized strategies and accommodations to meet the student's unique needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Schedule & Pay:

• The position requires four hours of work on Sundays, 9am-12pm, $25 an hour.
