ABOUT JEWISH STUDIO PROJECT

Jewish Studio Project (JSP) cultivates creativity as a Jewish practice for spiritual connection and social transformation. At JSP, we believe that each person is created creative. Creativity is the wellspring of our deepest power and among the best tools we have for exploring, adapting, and bringing forth new ways to thrive in our ever-changing world. Over the past nine years, JSP has become a leading resource for accessible creative exploration and spiritual connection across the country. Through community offerings, leader development programs, creative facilitator training, thought leadership and organizational partnerships, JSP is building a movement to activate the creative power of the Jewish community.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Since 2015, JSP has evolved from a small startup into a leading national organization with 13 staff, a $1.8M budget, a growing network of facilitators and educators, and a community of thousands of participants. We are seeking a Boston Regional Director to join our team as we expand. As a critical member of our growing team, the new role of Boston Regional Director will lead JSP’s efforts in offering our work as a resource to the greater Boston region through weaving our growing network, deepening relationships, building infrastructure, implementing programming, and developing strategic partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow and weave JSP Boston network:
    • Lead local recruitment processes for JSP Fellowship programs (i.e., Creative Facilitator Training and Educator Studio).
    • Design opportunities for relationship building and collaboration between local JSP Facilitators, educators and partner organizations and communities.
    • Collaborate with JSP national leadership to provide Boston JSP network a rich array of support services (e.g., coaching, professional development, programmatic resources, etc).
  • Support local program implementation:
    • Partner with JSP Facilitators to launch new programmatic offerings and communities of practice.
    • Provide end-to-end support of JSP programs, including: recruitment, registration, communications and liaising with facilitators.
    • Manage logistics for pop-up studios including: site rentals, materials, program set-up, etc.
  • Deepen stakeholder relationships and organizational partnerships:
    • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, organizations, and community members in the greater Boston area to expand regional impact.
    • Develop strategic partnerships with a number of mission-aligned organizations where JSP’s methodology can serve as a beneficial resource.
  • Establish and build organizational capacity and infrastructure:
    • Identify vibrant physical studio space to become JSP’s programmatic hub in Boston and manage space once launched.
    • Recruit and supervise local part-time staff and faculty as programmatic portfolio grows.
