Part-Time Religious School Teachers Wanted

Interested in teaching but want your weekends free?!?!

Temple Israel in New Rochelle is hiring part-time religious school teachers for Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. We are a dynamic program that looks to engage children through camp-style and interactive programming. You would have the opportunity to help shape the curriculum and bring your personality and vision into the experience. Offering positions starting at $5,200 (1 day) up to $9,750 (2 days). 

We are looking for great people who love children and feel a deep connection to Judaism. We have teaching opportunities for Tuesday from 3:30-6:00pm (K-6th grade) and/or Thursday from 3:30-6:00pm (3rd-6th grade). Basic Hebrew reading skills are needed for 1st-6th grade.

Temple Israel’s programming year runs September 3rd through May 15th. You will be supported with teenage teacher assistants (Madreecheem). Teaching staff will be able to develop their skills as an educator through regular professional development opportunities with our Director of Education as well as outside speakers and resources.
