Position:                               Human Resources Manager

 

 

Job Summary:

As a vital member of our Human Resources team, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This multifaceted position involves direct responsibility for Employee Relations, Labor Law, and Compliance, as well as overseeing Benefits, Leaves Administration, and Talent Acquisition processes. This position reports to the Executive Director of CBI.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive employee relations through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Address employee concerns and inquiries, working towards a harmonious and productive workplace.
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.

Labor Law and Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and promote a fair and ethical work environment.
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring comprehensive coverage and competitive offerings.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to optimize benefit packages.

Leaves Administration:

  • Oversee and administer employee leave programs in compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Lead recruitment efforts, from job description creating, job posting and candidate selection, to attract top-tier talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and implement effective talent acquisition strategies.
  • Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy up to date.
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team.
  • Conduct Onboarding process and new hire orientation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles with a focus on Employee Relations, Labor Law, and Compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of benefits administration, leave management, and talent acquisition processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex employment issues and make informed, ethical decisions.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Jewish customs and life-cycle events a plus
  • 3+ years in Human Resources Role required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
